Imagine if you came to prepare to climb one of the highest mountains in the world. Your guide is to be a famous Sherpa, a  capable and trusted friend.

As you reach mid point in your journey, you meet a native of the ragged terrain that surrounds these majestic mountains. He is a Himalayan dressed as a proud countryman. 

To our surprise and amazement our new friend has just agreed to let us undertake this adventure in the company of the renowned Sir Edmund Hillary and his companion Sherpa, Tensing Norkey, AKA Tenzing Norgay.

Bossons 6" (1963-1966) Shelf Ornament Himalayan
The Himalayan is one of four other smaller six-inch shelf Ornaments which include Sikh, Moroccan (Syrian), Serbian, and Chensing (Tibetan). All five shelf ornaments were later made in "Character Wall Masks" and released in Bossons series "B"

To our surprise and amazement our new Himalayan friend and Sir Edmund and Tensing reached the Summit!!

Though the entire party could not finish the climb, the result was a rare and unique historical page in  history later  recorded in this 14" Bossons Plaque entitled... 

Sir Edmund Hillary's authenticated signature appears incised on the bottom side of a unique plaque sculpted by Alice (Wilde) Brindley in 1953 and released in a very limited number in 1956. As seen above, this unique and rare plaque has also been autographed by Sir Edmund, dated 22/3/94.
